The new Rutter book is developing nicely. I have now passed the 300 page mark (that is for a editing manuscript, of course, which is double-spaced and equates to about 230 pages in a published book. According to my word processor, it now tips the scales at nearly 70,000 words, with perhaps another thirty or forty thousand to go. That final third, however, may take as long as the previous two thirds to actually complete. I have to get it right, after all. All the same, it is my intention to put the book on sale before Christmas, so I am pulling out all the stops to achieve that.
There is a change of title. "Rutter's Reasoning' was only ever a working title as it did not particularly mean anything and did not exemplify anything specific in the text. The new title is 'Rutter's Resolution', which is a direct reference to an event that occurs at the climax (not that the passage in question has been written yet, but it is planned).
