Things move apace. I have just put three of my books on special offer for a couple of days and over 1300 were downloaded. This has helped sales overall and has particularly boosted 'Chained in Time' and 'The Planning Officers'. The promotion is part of the KDP Select programme. KDP stands for 'Kindle Direct Publishing'. If you just Google 'KDP' it vies for first place with the Kurdistan Democratic Party. Apart from being able to run special offers, KDP SElect makes my books available for borrowing by Amazon Prime members. This service is only available in the USA at the moment. Members pay an annual fee, which gets them free delivery on anything they buy from Amazon, and also allows them to borrow books, just like a library. Amazon controls the funds generated by these subscriptions and shares them out each month among KDP Select authors whose books have been borrowed. It is a private equivalent of public lending right.
More significantly, I have made the acquaintance of Suzy Stewart Dubot. Suzy was born American, but has lived in France with her French husband for years. She is also an author, her favourite genre being romantic fiction set in the Regency period. She runs her website to promote her own work, but also the work of other writers that she has come to know. I am happy to announce that I am now featured on her site. It all helps.
You can find a direct link to Suzi's site on my Home Page.
