I put 'Chained in Time', 'The Planning Officers' and 'Usurper' on free offer for forty-eight hours yesterday morning. Downloads are looking very promising, with 'Chained' going particularly well. There is method in my madness. 'Usurper' is the first part of a trilogy and 'Chained' has a sequel published ('Rutter's Reunion'). Anyone who enjoys reading them is likely to buy the others and spread the word. This is creating awareness of my work and the traffic viewing this website is also on the increase. That is largely down to the fact that I recently republished all of my books with links to this site included in their front and end matter.
I have since republished 'Usurper' again as I discovered, purely by chance, that a friend of mine had bought it (he didn't tell me until much later when he had finished reading it). It was only then that I discovered that he had found a word with three 's's in the middle of it. I checked through the original file to find out how such a howler had slipped through my quality control net (which is pretty comprehensive). It turned out that the word was 'Nasssinor', which should have been spelt 'Nassinor'. This is a fictional place name, and that might explain how the spelling checker didn't pick it up. It isn't part of the dictionary. It has now been corrected.
