The first draft of 'Rutter's Resolution is now finished and I have entered the editing stage, which is much shorter than the creating, but every bit as demanding. Two to three weeks of editing work lie ahead of me. It is much more than a question of finding the typing errors and putting them right. That is actually a relatively minor aspect of editing. Much more important is analysing the text and deciding whether each sentence is expressed as well as it might have been; whether each passage is as effective as it could have been, and expunging waffle.
To the left, you can see the cover. The lady in question is not Rutter, she is Trudi, a major new character who makes her bow in this book.
Hope you like it.
There is still work to be done, of course, but 'Rutter's Resolution' should be on sale in time for Christmas.
